Description

Lease between the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars of the Cathedral Church of Sarum on the one part and Frances Salisbury of the Close of New Sarum widow on the other part. The Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars lease to the said Frances Salisbury their messuage or tenement, backside, stable and garden together with the brick wall on the west and south parts of the garden and also the small part of ground formerly belonging to the Common Hall of the Vicars containing 8 feet in length and 3 feet 4 in breadth within the Close (measurements of the garden are given) and also the wall lately erected within the inner cellar of the Common Hall and adjoining the parlour of the said messuage together with all ways, paths, passages, waters, watercou[r]ses, easements, advantages and appurtenances to have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 10 shillings to be paid at the 4 feasts of the year in addition to the sum of 1 shilling and 6 pence to be paid at the feast of St Michael, double if payment was late.
