Licence to assign a lease dated 28 Oct 1856 from the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars to George Lewes Benson (CO/VC/4/3/16/2), by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England. By an indenture dated 19 Jun 1867 between William Henry Lipscombe [Lipscomb] and Richard Munkhouse Wilson on the one part and Frances Stevens on the other part (CO/VC/4/3/16/7) the premises were assigned to Frances Stevens. Frances Stevens agreed with Anna Maria Taylor for the sale to her of the premises, and applied to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, who had become entitled to the reversion in fee simple of the premises, to grant licence to assign the premises. The Ecclesiastical Commissioners grant licence unto Frances Stevens to assign to Anna Maria Taylor the premises to hold for the residue of the term of 40 years. Sealed in the presences of Charles [.....] Ellis of Westminster.
