Description
Counterpart of a lease between the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars of the Cathedral Church of Sarum on the one part and Henry Penruddock Wyndham of the City of New Sarum on the other part. The Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars lease to the said Henry Penruddock Wyndham their garden or orchard formerly two plots of ground in the Close between the subdean's house on the east, the highway leading from St Ann's Gate on the south part and the Close wall on the north part, to have and to hold with all profits for 40 years. The annual rent was 17 shillings to be paid at the 4 feasts of the year. 'In the Close. No 13.' is written on the item (in red ink).
