Description

Lease between the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars of the Cathedral Church of Sarum on the one part and Kitty Kneller of the Close spinster on the other part. The Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars lease to the said Kitty Kneller their garden or orchard formerly two plots of ground in the Close between the subdean's house on the east, the highway leading from St Ann's Gate towards the Church on the south part and the Close wall on the north part, to have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 17 shillings to be paid at the 4 feasts of the year. Signed, sealed and delivered by Kitty Kneller, first stamped in the presence of [Mr] Hobsone. 'In the Close. No. 13.' is written on the item (in red ink).
