This is one of 4 letters (not previously catalogued) found enclosed in CO/VC/4/3/3/8, which are about the house (Close No 1) bequeathed in trust to Peregrine Bingham by Charlotte Poore. Letter to W D Whitmarsh from P[eregrine] Bingham in which he writes, 'I am much obliged by your communication of the 27th Sep[tember] on the subject of the house in the Close of Sarum held by lease from the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars and as it is my wish to renew the lease, I send you a line to that effect according to your request.' ‘Close No 1’ is written on the back.
