Description
Counterpart of a lease between the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars of the Cathedral Church of Sarum on the one part and Kate Ellen Adey of New Sarum spinster on the other part. The Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars lease to the said Kate Ellen Adey their messuage or tenement, garden, hereditaments and premises with the appurtenances in the Close, bounded on the south by the King's highway or road leading to St Ann's Gate, together with all outhouses, edifices and buildings, to have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 5 pounds to be paid at the 4 feasts of the year, in addition to 65 pounds for repairing the premises. There is a coloured plan on the lease. Signed, sealed and delivered by Kate Ellen Adey in the presence of Geo[rge] Harris clerk to Charles H Radcliffe solicitor in Salisbury.
