Description

Account of a meeting in the Chapter House before the Bishop, Dean, Chancellor, the Archdeacon of Wiltshire, Richard Clayton, Thomas Lambert, Richard Hill and others in the presence of George Frome public notary. The Vicars Choral (Silvester Pope, Mr Christopher London, Mr Will[iam] West, Mr Thomas Hardwicke, Mr Will[iam] Powell, and Mr Thomas Barford) are questioned about the lease 'unduly made' by the Vicars, and Mrs Dulcebella Payne [Paine] is asked whether she will surrender the lease, which she refuses to do.
