A notebook prepared by staff of the Cathedral and residents of the Close as a welcome to Sydney Evans and to act as a guide to those working and living in the Cathedral community: introduction by 'H.I.P.' The notebook includes the following lists of names as of Advent 1977: members of the Works Department, staff of the Cathedral School, choir, Chapter Office and Diocesan Registry staff, staff of Holmwood School, helpers at the Cathedral bookstall, flower arrangers, library helpers, stewards, evening guides, tower guides, refectory parish team leaders, writers of Cathedral notes, other staff. Also included are printed notes on Some Houses of the Close, by Robert Hawkings and a printed leaflet on the history of Ladywell. Many residents of the Close have included their names and telephone numbers together with a message of welcome and some information about themselves.
