Draft of a letter to the King [James I] from Salisbury Cathedral Chapter and the [? – relict has been crossed out but I cannot make out the correction, which might be widow) of the late Dean [John] Gordon regarding a charter granted 300 years before for their receiving of the rents and profits of the Bishopric during a vacancy, which had apparently been stopped by a letter from the King.
