Christopher Wordsworth (born Westminster, 26 March 1848; died Salisbury 30 January 1938) was a liturgiologist and author. Brother of John Wordsworth, Bishop of Salisbury 1885-1911. Son of Christopher Wordsworth, Bishop of Lincoln. Grandson of Christopher Wordsworth, Master Trinity College, Cambridge. Fellow and Dean of Peterhouse College, Cambridge 1870-1878. Ordained B1872. He served curacies in Alvechurch and Cambridge and incumbencies at Glaston, Tyneham, East Holme and Marlborough. Rector of Steeple with Tyneham 1889-1897. Chancellor of Lincoln Cathedral 1917-1928. Rector of St Peter and St Paul, Marlborough 1897-1911. Rural Dean of Marlborough 1911-1937. Sub-dean of Salisbury 1911-1917. Held the prebend of Ruscomb 1911-1937. Librarian 1913-1937. Chancellor of Salisbury1917-1928. Master of St Nicholas' Hospital 1895-1938. Author and editor of (amongst others): Ceremonies and Processions of The Cathedral Church of Salisbury, Cambridge, 1901; Statues and Customs of the Cathedral Church of The Blessed Virgin Mary of Salisbury (joint editor), London 1915.
