Description
A nineteenth century manuscript copy of Benjamin Hodley's 1710 printed text. Inscription on front cover: 'John Frere, 45 Bedford Square, June 1838'. Further inscription opposite title page: 'See a Table of Contents at the End. [signed but initials undecipherable, JF?] this would not do to reprint but it might serve as a Text for a very useful comparative view of the State of the Church at the two periods 1710 and 1838 - see Taylors Spiritual [?] Appendix p 498 note referring to p 367.' A few annotations by Chancellor Christopher Wordsworth.
