Description

A Deed relating to 26 acres of land, 3 acres of pasture and grazing for 80 sheep in Stoford, South Newton, Wiltshire, signed by one W Tempest and concerning Joseph Scrope, Robert Blake, Joseph Wheeler and Hugo Hunt. A large Deed (about 660mm x 530mm) with an elaborate heading including portraits of William and Mary incorporated into iniitial capitals, with the royal crest and decorative figures of birds and animals, some mythical, swirling floral and calligraphic decoration and a human torso blowing a trumpet and bearing a crown.
