Description

Two documents which were found under the floor in the Chapter Office, 6 The Close. (1) Letter dated 26th September '67' signed R M Chatfield addressed to the Chapter Clerk F MacDonald. The letter refers to remedial work to Lower Road in Woodford to alleviate flooding in the winter and to the health of [Rev?] Olding. (2) Small piece of parchment possibly a document label dated 21st October 1704 and signed 'Librarian' [?]. The majority of the text is indistinct but could relate to a lawsuit concerning land.
