Description
Accounts for 1478. Money paid by the Procurator to the rector/warden of St Thomas'. The following information is taken from the paper catalogue: 'Accounts of expenditure of money received from William Whitm[arsh], procurator of the Dean and Chapter in the church of St. Thomas the Martyr in the city of Salisbury, appropriated to the maintenance of the fabric, "and delivered by the said Sir William Whitm[arsh] into the hands of Master William Nessyngwik, rector or warden of the same church", 3 May 1478. This is in book-form, and the accounts are set out rather differently from in the rolls, but apart from that, they follow more or less the same lines, and therefore this document has been put here...' The accounts appear to run from May to October. Nessyngwik was one of the residentiary canons (according to paper catalogue).
