Description

A tracing or design for a stained glass window depicting Christ in Majesty - part of the Cathedral's Jesse window. The design is in two separate sections and show details which are now mostly lost or obscured. Each section has a pencil inscription on the reverse which is partially illegible: 'S wall of S aisle 8th window' and '[?] S aisle 8th window [?] at top.' This relates to the window currently referenced as S33. It is believed that S33 was chosen as the location for the window in the 1920s as this was a common location for Jesse windows which survived in situ in other cathedrals.
