Description
Contains: (a) 'Litany and Prayers at the end of Psalter Salisbury Cathedral MS150' (fs 152-159) copied by Revd Edmund R Nevill for Canon Wordsworth Salisbury. Wordsworth has written the following note on the reverse 'The collation in green ink are not corrections of this transcript from Salisbury MS150 but appear to have been written on this copy by a friend to whom I lent it.' (b) Letter to Wordsworth from Nevill dated 19 Feb 1909 thanking Wordsworth for payment for his transcript of MS180 fs 170-173 and answering questions from Wordsworth concerning MS150. (c) Note by Wordsworth recording that MS150 was deposited in the British Museum in 1908 and at the Bodelian Library from 5 May 1911 to 20 Mar 1918 for consultation by Mr Kenneth Sisam of Merton and others [named]. (d) Transcript of Litany of MS180 f 170b-173 copied by Revd Edmund R Nevill for Canon Wordsworth Salisbury. (e) Notes by Wordsworth on elements of the text including marginal signs of MS 180. (f) Four letter from DR V Burch, Liverpool Cathedral to Wordsworth concerning Breton saints in the litany of MS 150 (it appears that Wordsworth loaned Burch the transcrips of MS150 and MS180 made by Nevill; (g) transcript of MS180 f173 (note on reverse 'please attach this to the prayers appended to Mr Nevill's transcript from Salisbury ctahedral MS180' and transcript of MS180 f172 (with note relating to W H Frere's Leofric Collector vol II).
