The following inscription is on the first page: 'List of those from the Diocese of Salisbury who gave their lives for their King and Country in the Great War 1914-1918.' This volume appears to be an earlier and slightly more informal volume to VE/4/3.
The lists of names are arranged by parish. Each parish and the names of individuals from that parish are listed alphabetically. An index to associated parishes and districts is given at the end.
