17th-century sprinkled brown sheepskin over paper boards; sewn on three supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine; smooth spine with gilt fillets; leather spine label with author and title; date 1660 in gilt at tail of spine; text block edges sprinkled red.

Mathematical diagrams have been pasted to the margins of pages 49 and 79; there is evidence of something having been pasted to the margin of page 64, but it is no longer present, and a mathematical diagram has been drawn there; there are manuscript corrections to the text on page 151.
