17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; sewn on five supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine; spine with five raised bands and blind fillets; leather spine label with author and title; date 1639 in gilt at tail of spine; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red.
