Description
Charter of King Stephen, issued sometime between 26th December 1135 and 11 December 1139. Stephen gives to Roger Bishop of Salisbury the service and land of William son of Malger' of Lavintona, of the fee which he holds of Gislebert Blundo. He wills that the bishop shall hold the land "cum soca and saca et toll et theam et infangenetheof" and all other customs and liberties with which he holds his other lands. Witnesses: Henry Bishop of Winchester and Roger de Fiscampo. Given at Cirencester.
