Description
A coloured watercolour of the layout of the garden, house and outbuildings of 59 The Close as surveyed by J Lyons. Illustrated with images of trees and plants. Includes five inset drawings of the following elevations: A The East Front, B The South Front, C the West View, D The Green House, and E The Summerhouse.
An inscription on the bottom reads: 'The Scale Answereth Only the Plan of the House and Gardens'. An nscription along the bottom edge of the coloured mount reads 'From the Iron Palasdoes fronting the Close, to the Water's Side is 590 feet.'
Note on the reverse reads: 'Arundells, 59 The Close, the Property of the Dean and Chapter.'
