Description

A Woolstone Brothers post card identified on the reverse as "The Milton Post Card". The "Milton" trademark was registered in 1902 by Gustave Woolstone. "Printed at our works in Germany" - early cards were printed by Winkler and Schorn of Nuremberg. Titled "Interior of Cathedral, Salisbury". The view from the quire to the west shows the quire screen of 1870 by Francis Skidmore, removed in 1960. The arms of "Civitas Nove Sarum" shown in the bottom right-hand corner.
