Description

Six informal snapshots of scenes outside the West Front following a service to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the consecration of Salisbury Cathedral on 29 September 1258 and attened by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Some of the individuals in the photographs have been identified: (1) Canon Precentor Jeremy Davies (in green cassock) and Stephen Milner (in grey anorak) (2) A group of clergy, including Dean June Osborne, standing on a podium outside the West Front. (3) Canon Precentor Jeremy Davies (in gold cope) and Close Constable Ray. (4) Head Verger Anthony (Ant) Lewis leading a procession of girl and boy choristers. (5) Back view of Anthony Lewis (in black) with the Director of Music David Halls to the right of him. (6) A group of clergy including Dean June Osborne, with possibly Canon Chancellor Mark Bonney and Bishop Karen.
