Description
Letters Patent confirming Royal Assent to the election of Nicholas Holtam to be Bishop of Salisbury; "Therefore We Command You that to the said elect as your Bishop and Lord in everything as to the said Bishopric appertaining you be obedient and responsible aiding and assisting as it becomes you".
Together with notices to "Our Escheator" in each of Devon, Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, confirming such Royal Assent and commanding Restitution of the Temporalities of the Bishopric.
All "By Warrant under The Queen's Sign Manual" on the authority of the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, Sir Suma Chakrabati.
