Printed booklet of twelve pages containing the order of service for the Enthronement of William Anderson as Bishop of Salisbury, with, folded inside: - the printed notice, dated 20 June 1949, of the summoning of a Greater Chapter to be held on 20 July 1949 for the Installation of William Anderon to the Canonry with the Prebend of Potterne; - the form of installation of William Anderson as Canon (a second copy - see BS/1/21/6); - a printed list of the order of the Canons' Stalls in the Choir of the Cathedral, also showing the Order of Procession for the Enthronment; and - an Important Notice about timings, robing and access to the Cathedral for the Enthronement. This presumably comprises a complete set of printed documents related to the Enthronement. The name of Frank McGowan, Canon and Prebendary of Gillingham major and future Archdeacon of Sarum (1951-1968) is marked with a cross in the Order of Stalls, suggesting that these documents might have been for his use.
