Letter from the Duke of Albemarle to Brideoke [Ralph Brideoake] Dean of Salisbury stating that his chaplain Dr Price [this must be John Price prebendary of Grimston 1660-1691] is summoned to be present at a Chapter in Whitsun week, but that he will not be able to attend, and asks for him to be excused. From Cockpitt. 'From my Lord his grace the Duke of Albemarle[.] Matthew Lock' is written on the reverse.
