Description
Final concord made in the King's court at Westminster before Justices of the King and other faithful people then and there present between the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sarum and their successors querents, and William Asherton [Assheton] clerk, John Blackburn esquire and [Katherine] his wife and Dorothy Assheton spinster deforciants of two messuages with two gardens, two orchards, 100 acres of land, 10 acres of meadow, 10 acres of pasture and common of pasture [per omnibus .....] with the appurtenances in Tilshed also Tilshead. Whereupon a plea of covenant was summoned between them in that court as follows: that the said William, John, Katherine and Dorothy have acknowledged the said tenements and common of pasture to be the right of them the Dean and Chapter as those which the said Dean and Chapter have of the gift of the said William, John, Katherine and Dorothy and those they have remised and quitclaimed from them William, John, Katherine and Dorothy and their heirs to the said Dean and Chapter and their successors forever. And moreover the said William has granted for him and his heirs that they will warrant to the said Dean and Chapter and their successors the said tenements and common of pasture with the appurtenances against the said William and his heirs forever. And the said John and Katherine have granted for them and the heirs of the said Katherine that they will warrant to the said Dean and Chapter and their successors the said tenements and common of pasture with the appurtenances against the said John and Katherine and the said Katherine's heirs forever. And also she Dorothy has granted for her and her heirs that they will warrant to the said Dean and Chapter and their successors the said tenements and common of pasture with the appurtenances against the said Dorothy and her heirs forever. And for this recognizance, remise, quitclaim, warranties, fine and agreement the said Dean and Chapter have given to the said William, John, Katherine and Dorothy £100.
