Description
Counterpart of indenture made between William Fisher Clerk and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Isaac Noad of Tilshead in the county of Wiltshire gentleman of the other part. The said Master and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Isaac Noad their piece or parcel of ground containing about seven or eight lugg with the tenements erected thereon situated in Tilshed otherwise Tilshead bounded with the Street on the north, on the south with the South Farm Close, on the west by Giles Alexander's tenement and on the east with John George's close which said piece or parcel of ground is now in the possession of Isaac Noad. To have and to hold for and during the natural lives of Ann Eliza Glass aged 40 years daughter of Moses Glass of Potterne in the county of Wiltshire Yeoman, Mary Dowling Noad aged 24 years daughter of Isaac Noad and Grace Herne Noad daughter of Isaac Noad aged 10 years and for and during the natural life of the longest liver of them. The annual rent was 6 pence on the Feast of St Michael. Signed, sealed and delivered by Isaac Noad in the presence of G[eorge] [Smith] Clerk to Mr [Alford] Solicitor in Salisbury (writing faded).
