Description

Copy lease of a cottage and garden at Tilshead for three Lives from William Coxe Master of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter to John Kite of Tilshead yeoman, and two letters relating to the death of Joseph Kite who was the last life remaining on the lease. The first letter is from John Gro[ve] [Joseph Kite's employer] who writes that Joseph Kyte [Kite] died on 20 Feb and was buried at Harmondsworth. The second letter states that Mr Hussey informed Mr Macdonald about the death of Joseph Kite, upon whose life the lease depended, and gives details about the cottage (sender unknown). A note on the lease states that it was let to Mr Hussey and refers to letter dated 13 nov 1872. The lease was originally pinned together by a pin embossed 'Hart's Patent' - this has been removed and disposed of.
