Description
Receipt for payment by Mr Barfort [Barfoot] to John Johnson for organ and singing books. On the back is written, 'These present with speed To his much Respected Friend Mr Johnson the elder Register att his house in Sarum, neer the Close.' A note in a later hand [possibly F R Fisher, 19th century] was previously attached (not catalogued) which states 'This appears to be a private money transaction...I expect [He....s] did this work see No 5 page 135.'
