Description

The 17th century vouchers have been annotated by F R Fisher, a 19th century Clerk of the Works. Fisher sealed the vouchers into packets, with a list on the outside. The packets are probably nearly all original, as the previous Archivist noted that 'a number of them were still on filing cords when I dealt with them.' Many of the packets were noted by Fisher as being 'entered' - presumably into his note-books. The previous catalogue notes that the 18th century packets had also been listed by Fisher ('on the individual packets, most of which must have been original - several were on filing cords'), whilst the 19th century vouchers were largely not. The dates of these usually run from Michaelmas to Michaelmas.
