Description
Includes receipts and bills for: plumber; salary for sexton (including 'bell for H.R.H. The Duke of York on the Intelligence of his Death and at his Burial'; books, pens, ink, candles etc; trees and planting; winding the clock; salary for the constables of the Close; mops, brooms and brushes; plasterer; organist's salary; salary to Church Writer and Clerk of the Cathedral; windows/repairing the windows; rent; carriage of timber; charcoal; candles; 'for the school stipend & Vicar'; mason; cloth, flannel, curtains etc; care of the clock; smith. Most of the receipts are dated 1828 (including one for an item from 1826). Part of the bundle was wrapped in the Annual Accounts, part was loose. Although the items do not appear to have been separated for any particular reason, they have been kept separated with archival tape to preserve original order.
