Description

A lease made between The Dean and Chapter and the Wiltshire County Council of land in the Bishop Palace Grounds for the use of Bishop Wordsworth's School. Signed by the Chapter Clerk. Includes plan. A later note of the front states 'Terminated' and the lease is stamped 'Recorded in the books of the Ministry of Education under Section 87 (3) of the Education Act 1944' with the signature of W Luckrest and dated 12th February 1947. Lease drawn up by Jonas and Parker, 6 The Close, Salisbury. The accompanying draft lease is annotated and also includes a plan. Together with typed extracts from Chapter minutes of 1932-1933 of entries relating to Bishop Wordsworth's School.
